"You're on the edge of a windy Irish cliff and you wonder why the sky looks so yellow...is it because you drank too much whiskey or...hang on...am I in Ireland at all? Looking up at the pink sky you dont realize you are stepping over the edge of the cliff. You tumble down the rocks exceeding the speed of light. When you plunge into the water it appears to be surprisingly warm... You wake up and realize you're still in that smokey bar, dusty theatre or at that sunny festival...the first thing you hear is a fiddle joined by uilleann pipes surrounded by a whirlwind caused by two string instruments... There's a window in the roof and there's a distant star shining through. Listening to Stargazer you'll know there's different planets out there where the sky has all colours of the rainbow..."

Stargazer consists of four musicians who prove that accoustic music can still groove like nothing else. In the music of Stargazer elements of musical traditions from different parts of the world (and other planets!) are brought together into unique arrangements and compositions.

Stargazer did several Irish theatre concerts together with Carel Kraayenhof and Niamh Parsons

"Je staat op het randje van een winderige Ierse klif en vraagt je af waarom de hemel geel is... is dat omdat je te veel whiskey hebt gedronken of... wacht eens... ben ik wel in Ierland? Terwijl je omhoog kijkt naar de roze lucht merk je niet dat je over de rand van de klif stapt. Je tuimelt over de rotsen en valt sneller dan het licht. Als je in het water plonst blijkt het ontstellend warm... Je ontwaakt en je vindt jezelf terug in die rokerige kroeg, dat stoffige theater of dat zonovergoten festival. Het eerste wat je hoort is een viool en de klank van uilleann pipes omgeven door een wervelwind veroorzaakt door twee snaarinstrumenten. In het dak is een raampje waardoor het licht van een ster twinkelt. Als je Stargazer hoort waan je je op andere planeten waar de lucht alle kleuren van de regenboog heeft."

Stargazer is een groep van vier muzikanten die bewijzen dat akoestische instrumenten nog steeds kunnen grooven tot ongekende proporties. In het repertoir worden elementen uit muziktradities van verschillende delen van de wereld bij elkaar gebracht in eigenzinnige arrangementen en composities.

Stargazer heeft samengewerkt met Carel Kraayenhof en Niamh Parsons aan een Iers programma, waarmee ze in verschillende zalen gestaan hebben.
